What is bedding?

  What materials are our bedding made of?

  Duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases are the pieces that are always in contact with our body, so we should pay close attention to their composition, both for comfort and environmental reasons. Cotton bedding is the most convenient for our skin as it is made with natural cellulose fiber, it makes it more breathable, it is an excellent thermal insulator and it absorbs body heat without problems. The only drawback that we could find are the usual wrinkles and the extra ironing that must be done so that they are impeccable.

Other bedding pieces, such as duvets or bedspreads, can be made with a cotton part and synthetic fiber filling, or 100% polyester, so that maintenance is easier.

  We can differentiate Nordic fillings by those that are composed of bird down, which are lighter and provide more insulation and breathability; and for the synthetics, made of polyester, they are treated to keep the interior fiber in perfect condition and ensuring optimal performance.

What measures do we have?

You must take into account the size of your bed to choose the size of the bedding that best suits: available for single beds (80, 90cm and 105cm beds), double beds (135, 150 and 160cm beds) and extra large beds (180 and 200cm beds - 270x270cm). Basic care for bedding

Some essential care must be taken into account to be able to preserve the bedding correctly.

Duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases must be washed regularly, once a week or at most every 15 days, this way we will avoid being in contact with the mites and bacteria that accumulate as the night goes by. If we air the Nordic fillings a little every morning so that they lose the moisture accumulated at night, they will only need to be washed once a season. It is important that we make sure that we are going to be able to dry it well and that there is no moisture left inside, this could damage them.

Bedspreads and duvets are not pieces of bedding that must be washed regularly, normally it would be enough to air them, the accumulation of dust must be avoided and always kept dry. Wash them with an appropriate program and temperature in order to preserve the properties of the fibers and prevent them from being damaged. We will use mild detergents and wash at a low temperature.
